Come and learn the story of the cable car building, pick the brains of knowledgeable docents about Hyde Park's rich history and view the poster exhibit of the Hyde Park Neighborhood Club, 5480 S. Kenwood Ave., another Hyde Park institution dedicated to bringing the community together.
As an added bonus there will be selected books available for adoption from the personal collection of Hyde Park Historical Society founder and board member Devereux Bowly. The books cover a variety of topics including art, architecture, Chicago and various social issues.
The next Open House will be held on Sunday, November 6.
