What is this?
Hello fellow birders! The first of two fall bird walks is this
Sunday 9/18 at 8 am
by the green roofed refectory in Washington Park.
We will meet in the parking lot just off 55th St/Russell Dr at the green-roofed Refectory. Bring binoculars if you have them. Mostly on trails, but some uneven surfaces.
Here's a map to the meeting spot (just north of the pool):

Some highlights on past fall walks include Wilsons Snipe, American Bittern, Loon and a tree filled with 3 kinds of Hawks. Expect to see Wood Duck, grebes, warblers, 3 kinds of herons and with luck, a surprise or two :)
