OWL Hyde Park is a Hyde Park group that focuses on issues of concern to midlife and older women but the organization and its programs are open to all.The programs vary. OWL almost always meets on the first Saturday of each month (except in June when it moves to the 2nd Tuesday so as no to compete with the Art Fair and then takes a break until October). Meetings are 1-3pm, in the social room on the lower level of Treasure Island.

Margaret Huyck, Professor Emerita, Illinois Institute of Technology, past President of OWL, and President of Chicago Hyde Park Village;
Bea Lumpkin, labor activist, member of the Chicago Chapter of the Alliance of Retired Americans; and
Anne Marie Cunningham, Co-Chair, Fair Economy Illinois, and member of the Jane Addams Senior Caucus, will present their collective experiences about advocating for change.
The panel will offer suggestions for promoting effective advocacy during the uncertain times of the Trump and Rauner administrations.
