Join us at the Currency Exchange Café for a special First Monday Jazz event featuring Sura.

Native Chicagoan, Sura (pronounced Soo-Rah), is a Chicago-based percussionist who sees music as a source of healing. His creative development of the Sun Drummer has been performed nationally for many years. He has created two musical groups, The Side Pocket Experience and The Heartbeats and has trained with master drummers in Africa and performed nationally in jazz and avant-garde musical styles.
