Award winning author, long-time writing instructor, and CHPV member Rosellen Brown coaches you on your memoir writing journey. Rosellen has taught writing seminars and workshops both nationally and internationally and served for 28 years on the writing faculty at the School of the Art Institute. She has published numerous volumes of fiction and poetry, most recently The Lake on Fire.

Daughters of the Dust
 
At HPAC's request, we have moved the free monthly movie to the first Friday of the month. This month in honor of Women's History month, will will show Julie Dash's Daughters of the Dust, a film set in the early 20th century on an island and the coast of South Carolina about intergenerational conflict and values in a family descended from West African slaves.  Everyone is welcome. Popcorn provided.

Getting There: Bus transportation provided at 10:30 at Windemere Apartments, 1462 E. 56th St, and a little later at Augustana Lutheran Church, 5500 S. Woodlawn. Parking also available near Chicago Commons or at Provident Hospital lot.
