Laura Kracke
December 13, 1941 – August 17, 2025
It is with a heavy heart that we share about the passing of Laura Kracke. Laura died peacefully on Sunday, August 17 with family at her side. She was a friend to many, a member of the CHPV community since its founding, and a wonderful volunteer ambassador for CHPV's Yoga program. She will be missed. During the 15-week session, you’ll learn and rehearse an eclectic mix of seasonal choral music that will challenge and delight.

Chicago Public Library Partners with AI Safety Awareness Project for two types of workshops at various library locations throughout August: one for a general audience and another specifically designed for older adults. No prior experience or knowledge of AI is required. The AI Safety Awareness Project is a volunteer organization dedicated to raising awareness about modern AI, highlighting its benefits and risks, and informing the public on how they can contribute to AI safety.
